History and Events:

Brazil:
The Brazilian war for independence lasted from 1821 to 1825 and was fought against Portugal. The Argentia-Brazil war lasted from 1825 to 1828. The War of the Triple Alliance which lasted from 1864 to 1870.



Venezuela: The Venezuelan War of Independence lasted from 1811 to 1823. Venezuela had allied itself with Gran Colombia, Great Britian, and Ireland. After 12 years of intense fighting they had finally defeated the Monarchy of Spain.


Why was the Venezuelan War of Independence fought?

Venezuelans started the war because the were fed up with the Spain, and wanted rule themselves. Spain fought it for very similar reasons as why they colonized them in the first place. Spain wanted economic stability, and more influence in the world.
